How to study a chapter with AI

Use AI as a **study partner**, not an answer key — especially for exams.

Use AI as a **study partner**, not an answer key — especially for exams.

The 4-pass method

### Pass 1 — Map (5 min)

List the 5–8 main ideas in this chapter. One line each.
Chapter text: [paste or describe]

### Pass 2 — Explain (5 min)

Explain idea #[N] like I'm 14. Use an analogy. Then give one exam-style question.

### Pass 3 — Test yourself (10 min)

Quiz me with 5 mixed questions (define, compare, apply).
Wait for my answers before revealing solutions.

### Pass 4 — Fix gaps (5 min)

I got these wrong: [your mistakes].
Where did I confuse concepts? Give a tiny memory hook for each.

Rules for honest learning

  • Don't paste **exact exam questions** you're graded on
  • Do the quiz **before** reading model answers
  • Verify definitions in your **textbook or teacher's notes**
  • **Try the lesson:** `study-helper` in Lane B
